TrafAlert Demonstration

TrafAlert Demonstration is a simulated work zone demonstrating the TrafAlert for Work Zones to alert motorists to upcoming traffic conditions in real time.  TrafAlert receives data about traffic speeds on the interstates from road side sensors, calculates congestion levels and posts advisory messages on roadside message signs and highway advisory radios. TrafAlert can be controlled via the central controller or the web. Please click on one of the links below to view the various components of the TrafAlert system.

All devices used in this demonstration are simulated. Feel free to try out the control interface, including changes to sign messages without concern that you will affect any live highway system. If prompted to sign on, use the special "guest id" of 691 and password of 7090.
