Telegraph Road VSL Demonstration Pages:
This project involves the electronic control of 14 variable speed limits signs to facilitate traffic movement on the Capital Beltway near Alexandria, Virginia during the reconstruction of the Telegraph Road Interchange. The speed limits are determined based upon traffic data collected from 18 roadside detectors.
All devices used in this demonstration are simulated. Feel free to try out the control interface, including changes to sign messages without concern that you will affect any live highway system. If prompted to sign on, use the special "guest id" of 691 and password of 7090.
